A mixed-media exploration of the loving bond between a mother porpoise and her calf. Following the success of a preliminary, experimental piece, I refined my technique to maximize tactile depth, utilizing wrinkled foil beneath gel medium to create a luminous, light-catching surface. By layering vibrant acrylics and rich oils, I aimed to capture both the playful energy of marine life and the serene warmth of a radiant tropical sky. This work is a testament to the beauty of the ocean's constantly shifting, magical, and vibrant, and light-filled, environments.
